introduction

Hey there! I’m Ollie. I’m a genderqueer, neurodivergent POC and I spent the summer of 2023 as a communications intern with North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT). North Carolina Asian Americans Together is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization (501c3) “committed to supporting equity and justice for all by fostering community among Asian Americans and allies in North Carolina through civic engagement, leadership development, grassroots mobilization and political participation”. NCAAT interns work with the organization over a 10-week period and within that time, they complete personal projects on topics of their choice. More information on these internships can be found here. During my internship, I created a resource guide for queer and trans BIPOC, because I previously have been unable to find something similar, especially when looking for mental health, AANHPI, and other resources.

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably had similar experiences, so I’m glad you’re here! The QTBIPOC resources I found are separated in these categories:

QTBIPOC (Queer POC and/or LGBTQIA+ resources), AANHPI, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, Southeast Asian, and South Asian
